When YRG CARE stepped into its dicennial year in 2003, a major
milestone in its HIV care programme was the dedication of
a two bedded Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at its Centre. This
ICU is the first of its kind in India catering to the needs
of people with acute HIV related diseases who have been denied
access to ICUs at other medical centers. |

Mr. Richard Haynes, US Consul General at Chennai, Chief Guest,
dedicated the ICU on 17 January 2003. Dr. N.S.Murali, Secretary,
Voluntary Health Services, Chennai presided over the function. |
