YRGCARE recieves donation for Surgical and obstetric Suite
Sun Foundation Donates Rs 11,50,000 to YRGCARE for Surgical and Obstetric Suite.

Mrs. Kaveri Kalanidhi, Trustee, Sun Foundation, presented Rs. 11,50,000  to fund the extension of the VHS-YRGCARE Medical Centre at Taramani, Chennai. The gift will be used to build and equip a surgical and obstetric suite for the delivery of expectant HIV-positive mothers.

Dr. Suniti Solomon, Director, YRGCARE, said that the institution had conducted 88 deliveries on HIV-positive women but this number would now be greatly increased.

Mrs. Kalanidhi and Mr. Dayanidhi Maran, Member of Parliament, also distributed gifts to HIV-positive children receiving  treatment at YRGCARE. The occasion commemorated the birthday of the late Mr. Murasoli Maran.
