The validity of diagnostic test results produced in each laboratory is dependent on the quality of measures taken by the laboratory to assure that the test result is accurate and reproducible. Measures to ensure quality must be applied to all tasks and procedures conducted during pre-analytical, analytical and postanalytical stages of testing. Therefore, establishment and maintenance of quality system in the laboratory has become essential to provide reliable results to the patients and deliver better diagnostic services.
