The Ten by Ten project

Over 200 people access YRG CARE's services every day, most of them offered free. However, the needs of the spiralling numbers of people affected by HIV and requiring medical and psycho-social support cannot be met by project resources alone.

The situation becomes more critical when viewed in the light of the fact that YRG CARE is the only such institution in the region offering the complete continuum of HIV related care and support.

Dr. Suniti as well as our outreach workers and educators meet scores of people like you who have expressed their desire to add their little contribution to the cause. Thus was born the "10x10 project", an initiative based on the power of collective action. Every little contribution makes a signal difference to our efforts in reaching as many people who are disadvantaged as possible. Please spread the word around. We ask you to please mail this page to as many people as possible and help take the message further.

Where would your donations be used?

Your contribution will be added to an endowment (with no administrative overheads) and its income will be used to add to the quality of life poor and needy patients across multiple need areas such as

- Preventing infection to a baby
- Buying formula food for infants born to mothers living with HIV
- Access to care and treatment
- Expanding voluntary care and testing services
- Countering stigma & discrimination
- Training health care and community workers
- Post-exposure prophylaxis for needy health care workers
