A chance meeting of Dr. Suniti with Richard Gere in a AIDS conference at New York in 2000, bloomed into a close friendship between the two. 3 Years later Gere visited YRG CARE and spent a full day in understanding the various services that have been set in place by YRG CARE over the last decade.

Much encouragement was provided to patients and staff. Kids basked in his warmth and affection and hand prints of positive children along with his were printed as leaves on the "Tree of Support"

Later in the evening, Gere inaugurated the "Helpline Centre" and answered the first caller.
