Suniti scholars program

Dr. Suniti Solomon, a pioneer who transformed India’s fight against HIV/AIDS, founded the Y. R. Gaitonde Centre for AIDS Research and Education (YRGCARE) within the Y. R. Gaitonde Medical Educational and Research Foundation (YRGMERF), creating a legacy of empowerment and hope. As we mark the 10th anniversary of her passing on 28th July 2025, YRGMERF unveils the Suniti Scholars Program to continue her vision. This initiative supports vulnerable girls in India, impacted by HIV, through higher education. We invite you, as a vital partner in India’s health and development community, to join this meaningful effort.
