Community Advisory Board (CAB) consists of representatives of the general public who foster partnerships between the general public and the clinical trial researchers who conduct clinical trials.The members are both direct and indirect stakeholders. Direct stakeholders include those who are impacted by the health issue that is researched. Indirect stakeholders are those individuals involved in a variety of occupations with a genuine interest in community growth, health issues, research ethics: these include doctors, lawyers, and exemplary citizens with a demonstrable social conscience. The members voice their concerns based upon their involvement in their respective communities and provide feedback on proposed research questions and study design.
